You think you have seen it all and then comes something that you absolutely did not anticipate, especially when you don’t have any expectations of it (or planning). Filzmoos Höhenloipe is situated 1600m high in the picturesque area of St.Johann (Salzburg Bundesland). Yet, another place, that is on the list to be visited repeatedly in future.
Short warp-up lap (2 km) with view on DachteinGot lucky with the weather. The next day was dark and wet.Longer route – 6 km to Karlhütte am Rossbrand (1755m) and 6 km back.Filzmoos is somewhere down thereGerzkopf, 1728mA lot of uphill skiing. Loved and hated almost every bit of it :)Uphill skating was tough, this was a fair rewardA very fair reward of the finest local schnapps..the smell and taste of it was just amazing. Full bottles. Took some for presents! Different type of schnapps – not empty bottles:)))…maybe a little bit too much of „reward“Of course, I had to break a ski (I blame the ski for that, not myself:)Nevermind the schnapps. There were some serious „Kurve“ – do as it says! yes, we did!View on Dachstein region. Vordere Fager (1790m), Schober (2133m), Guschen (1982m)…and againThe route was prepared really well.
